What home care actually costs in Cabarrus County, written down for your family.

Fifteen minutes on the phone. Then a written plan: the schedule that fits, what it costs per week and per month at real local rates, and the two or three vetted providers who serve your address at that number.

$22The Cabarrus Home Care Plan
Matching is always free. The provider pays us, never you. The written plan is the only thing you ever pay for, and there is a reason for that. It is explained below.

Here is the price, before you give us anything.

Most agencies will not tell you what care costs until they have your phone number. We think that is backwards, so here is the honest 2026 range for Cabarrus County and the surrounding area.

Type of careWhat it includesTypical rate
Companion careCompanionship, meals, light housekeeping, errands, rides, medication reminders$26 to $30/hr
Personal careEverything above, plus bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility help$28 to $33/hr
Memory carePersonal care from caregivers with specific memory care training$30 to $36/hr
Overnight / 24-hourUsually quoted as a flat daily rate rather than hourly$300 to $450/day

One number that changes most family budgets: almost every agency has a 3-hour minimum per visit. So the smallest realistic unit of care is roughly $78 to $108, and it is usually smarter to think in visits per week than hours per day.

The deliverable

What is actually in the plan

  1. The schedule that fits. Hours per visit and visits per week, built around the 3-hour minimum instead of fighting it, and aimed at the hours that actually carry risk.
  2. What that exact schedule costs. Per week and per month, at current rates for your town. Not a national average, and not a range so wide it is useless.
  3. Two or three vetted providers who serve your address at that number, with what makes each one different, including the honest drawbacks.
  4. The questions to ask them, written for your situation. Not a generic checklist.
  5. What to cut first if the number is too high. Where the hours flex, and which benefits are worth applying for now rather than later.

Delivered as a PDF within 24 hours of the call. Yours to keep, share with siblings, and take to any agency, including ones we never mentioned.

The obvious question

Wait, you get paid by the provider and by me?

Yes. And that is exactly why the plan tells you the truth.

The provider fee is only paid if a placement works out. Which means that side of what we do has an incentive to place you. That is normal in this industry, and it is why matching is free to families, but you should know it exists.

The $22 has no such incentive attached. It is the only part of what we do that is paid for entirely by you, which is precisely why the plan can tell you to use fewer hours, wait a few months, apply for a benefit first, or hire nobody at all.

An hour of independent analysis for $22. If it saves you one wrong month of care, it paid for itself about a hundred times over.

Who this is not for

If you need skilled nursing, physical therapy, wound care, or anything Medicare pays for, this is not that, and we will tell you so on the call rather than after you have paid. We handle non-medical home care: help with daily living, companionship, personal care, and the logistics and cost of arranging it.

Questions

Before you book

Am I obligated to hire anyone?

No. The plan is yours whether you hire one of the providers we name, hire someone we never mentioned, or decide not to arrange care at all right now. There is no follow-up sales sequence attached to it.

What if the plan is not useful to me?

Tell us and we refund the $22, no argument and no form to fill out. We would rather refund it than have you feel sold to.

What happens on the call?

We ask about the situation and the schedule: who needs help, what is actually hard, which hours matter most, and what the budget realistically supports. Logistics and money, not a medical intake. It takes about fifteen minutes.

Who sees my information?

Only us, unless you tell us to make an introduction. Then it goes to one provider, the one you choose. Never a list, never a lead auction, and we do not sell it. Ever.

Do you own a home care agency?

No, and that is the entire point. We are independent, which is why the plan can recommend a provider we earn nothing from, or recommend that you wait.

How fast can care actually start?

Once a family decides, a good agency can usually have a caregiver in place within 24 to 72 hours. The search is almost always the slow part, not the staffing.
